Meet the Team

Kim & Lindy

Meet Kim and Lindy, two Kansas girls who share a bond like sisters with over 25 years of experience in the wedding and event industry, wow that's totaling more than 50 years of collective expertise. Their backgrounds include event planning, photography, and venue ownership. Recently, Kim along with her husband Bob sold their highly popular farm wedding venue Rustic Timbers which showcased outdoor weddings with a barn reception hall.  While we enjoyed our life in Kansas, we were looking for a change.  We have always loved the beach and the Destin area, so we picked up and relocated to beautiful Okaloosa Island. We are thrilled to bring our extensive experience to beach weddings and picnic setups and events, creating unforgettable moments in this stunning location! 

Behind every great woman are incredible partners who support and uplift them. Kim's husband, Bob, a retired USAF veteran with over 32 years of dedicated service, has successfully launched a thriving fishing charter business The Jig is Up. Alongside him, Lindy's husband, Kevin, keeps the momentum going helping us with delivery, setup, & take-down. Their hard work and commitment truly deserve recognition!

Services

At By the Sea, we specialize in creating unforgettable beach wedding event experiences such as Weddings, Elopements and Vow Renewals for locals or as a destination.  We also provide luxury picnic setups on and off the beach for anniversaries, engagements, bachelorette party, birthdays plus more.  Date Night is a popular setup for us.  We also offer Party Setups for all occasions, Day of Coordination for weddings and Balloon Arche's for all occasions plus Surprise room decorating.  While many of our clients are here for the beach, we also provide setup services in backyards, parks or private property.  We are expert planners and very creative.  With over 1000 weddings under our belt, we are dedicated to bringing your dream event to life wherever your location might be.  With personalized packages and meticulous attention to detail, we ensure that every aspect of your setup is taken care of.
